Manage volumes

Volumes are used to persist data and to share data between containers. For more information, see https://docs.docker.com/storage/volumes/. Volumes may also be added automatically to track internal data (such as TLS certificates) or because they are required by managed services for data storage.

Note: MedStack Control supports local volume mounts only and does not support bind mounts. (See Prepare your app for production.)

Add a volume to a swarm

  1. On the Control page, click the cluster name.

  2. Click the Volumes heading, then click NEW VOLUME.

  3. Enter a name for the volume, then click CREATE.

Delete a volume from a swarm

  1. On the Control page, click the cluster name.

  2. Click the Volumes heading, then click DELETE beside the volume.
